10 Drink Ideas to Cool You Off This Summer

It’s getting warmer out and summer is quickly approaching. You know what that means! It’s prime time for your favorite cold drinks! Now, you may have your go-to’s (I know I do) but take a look at these 10 drink ideas that are sure to give you summer vibes and keep you cool.


1. Simple Iced Coffee

This one is really easy to make. Just pour yourself some iced coffee - whether you make it yourself at home or get a store-bought kind -, add your favorite milk or cream option and sugar if you’d like (simple syrup is best for cold drinks). Throw in some ice cubes and boom! You’ve got yourself a nice cold drink.


2. Simple Vanilla Coffee

This drink is also pretty low effort. Iced coffee + optional cream or milk + a vanilla syrup. I like to use this Starbucks brand vanilla syrup, making it easy to copycat the famous chain. Get it here.

Don’t like vanilla? You can use any flavored syrup you like instead!


3. Iced Cinnamon Mocha

This iced cinnamon mocha is a great sweet, dessert drink. It features a cinnamon-infused chocolate sauce, which is super easy to make. All you do is mix together your favorite chocolate sauce and some cinnamon. Pour it into your iced coffee and viola!


4. Cinnamon Caramel Iced Coffee

Now this icy drink is perfect for those who can’t decide if they want something sweet or a lil spicy. It’s a little more creative, but still easy. Grab an ice cube tray and pour in your favorite caramel flavored iced coffee. Then mix cinnamon into each cube and freeze. When it’s ready, pour some more of that caramel coffee over the ice cubes in your favorite Barbee Design Works glass, and you’ve got yourself a fun, creative drink that can compete with Starbucks! (Tip: coffee ice cubes are always a great idea)


5. Coffee Smoothie

Like most smoothies, this recipe has a few more ingredients. Grab yourself some ice, 1 cup cold brew (homemade or store-bought), 1/2 cup of oat milk, 1 scoop of protein powder (optional), and a spoonful of peanut butter. Mix it together in your blender and serve it up!


6. Tropical Vibes Smoothie

Take yourself on a trip to the islands with this tropical fruit-filled smoothie. Blend together 1 1/2 cup of mango, 1/2 cup of pineapples, 1 cup of coconut water, and 1/2 cup almond milk. Next thing you know, you’re going to be imagining yourself in a hammock on the beaches of the Caribbean.


7. Tropical Smoothie - another version

Another version of a tropical smoothie is great for folks who aren’t such a fan of coconut water + want a little extra sweetness. You’re going to use vanilla almond milk, water, and frozen bananas, mango, orange, and pineapple. Blend together and tada!


8. Tropical Smoothie #3

Want to change up the fruit a little bit? No problem! Keep the pineapple and mango, and this time use regular almond milk. Now add strawberries, peaches, and coconut yogurt. Blend it up, pour it in your glass, and maybe even stick a little umbrella in it.


9. Pineapple OJ Smoothie

Real simple folks. Frozen pineapple + orange juice = amazing breakfast smoothie.


10. Mighty Strawberry Mango Smoothie

Try out this version of a smoothie by adding frozen strawberries and mango and a scoop of protein powder. Instead of using milk or water as your base, use pineapple juice! I get this exact drink from my favorite smoothie spot all the time, and let me tell you, it hits just right with the pineapple juice base.
